Thadeus Kosciuszko and Agrippa Hull: The Dream Begins
A Celebration in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. featuring live performances with vignettes from their lives, the Chopin Singing Society, St. Martin DePorres Mass Choir, African-American Dance and Drum Performing Company and soloist Joyce Carolyn.
The Dream Begins: Agrippa Hull and Tadeusz Kosciuszko focuses on the friendship of these two Revolutionary War heroes who challenged the status quo of their time. Their friendship was profoundly influenced by American slavery. Agrippa Hull was a free Black man who served as an aide-decamp to Tadeusz Kosciuszko, a Polish patriot and military trained Engineer, who joined the fight for America’s Independence. These two heroes were instrumental in helping achieve America’s victory against Britain.
